The turd tumbler is officially gone. I installed my Sealand today and wife is thrilled. Ordered from Scamp and $520 and $100 shipping. Never though I would pay that much for a pot but I would do it again for sure. Thank you Bill for the removal instructions. Thank you thewayneo for leading the way and great instructions (alway enjoy a Guzzi enthusiast). I used the 12v that powered the sewage swirler and connected dimmable LED lights under the bathroom and kitchen counter (perfect now that my 3 yo can now reach a light in the bathroom). What is great is this is a real toilet so I also have a toilet seat on order with a magnetic child's seat attached to it.

The old BM bucket also has a cracked seat like many others have reported in the forum but if anybody needs any parts from mush mixer before it lays to rest please let me know.

Nice Jeremie! Great job. If I had ever decided to replace my Electra Magic, that's the route that I would have gone as well. I just never saw the logic of taking "a step back" and going to a cassette. BTW, is your rig really a "2330"?

It is just so sad calling it a 3023 that means your packing up but a 2330 means your setting up to camp. That was my dyslexia kicking in

I have a Sealand toilet that needs to be installed in a 2011 2027. The old toilet is out. I have some questions for the people who have done this already. I apologize in advance for not using correct terms or knowing the names of the parts. My husband has neither the inclination or time to help me do this, so I am turning to all you wonderful people who have blazed the trail. I ordered it from Scamp and there are no directions to help me and a lot of mysterious parts.

Does the threaded 3" pipe that screws onto opening at the bottom of the tank just go through the floor and connect to a pipe with the open/close valve on it? As I am thinking about it, that seems the only logical explanation.

Do I need to put anything on the thread of the pipe that screws into the bottom of the holding tank to keep it from leaking?

Is the big black pipe that would poke out the bottom of trailer connected with the large rubber tube like thing with the metal tighteners on it? I think the answer must be yes.

What is the wax ring for? I have replaced many house toilets and understand the basic idea with them but I can't see how to use it in this application.

Does the discharge pipe need to be supported under the trailer?

How are you sealing up the space around where the pipe leaves the trailer?

My TM has a separate outlet for black discharge and for gray discharge. Is it really hard to combine the two? It seems like not having to move the hose to the gray water after discharging black water would be nice.

Is it possible to use the existing plumbing?

I have other questions, but I have to start somewhere. I am hesitant to remove the existing flange that connects with the existing black water outlet if I don't have to.

I have drawn a little picture of what I think needs to happen if I don't use the existing plumbing. Maybe I could get thoughts on what is right or wrong about it.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I really want to use my trailer but I can't even deal with the Curve I put in. I found that campsites were very unappreciative that I wanted to dump my little holding tank in the pit toilets. After the flack I got for that, I wouldn't even try to do it in a flushing toilet.

I think you have the right idea based on your diagram. Our 3023 came with the black and gray discharge pipes connected, so there is only one outlet for the waste hose. I wonder if someone previously modified yours.

I didn't put anything on the plastic pipe threads, I just screwed it in hand tight and the plastic to plastic contact seems to seal just fine. Remove the metal flange so the tank will sit flat on the floor. I cant remember if the black pipe also had a flange on the toilet end of it, but if it does, you probably have to remove that, so you can join the two straight pipe sections with the rubber coupler.

Actually the fact that yours has separate outlets makes the toilet installation simpler, I think.

Most of us had to cut the pipe joining the black and gray, so the black side could be moved over an inch to mate up with the toilet down spout. Then I used a second rubber coupler (smaller size too) to reconnect the two sections. Apparently you can skip this, because yours is already separate.

I also had to enlarge right hand side of the hole in the floor about an inch so the new toilet downspout would fit within the limited space.

I understand some have used the expanding spray foam to file the hole, but I haven't done that yet. I figure the toilet is fastened tight and flat over the hole so I'm really not too worried about it unless some problem shows up.

Yep either that or some sort of gasket otherwise. I think mine had a gasket between the tank and the ceramic toilet.

I don't see the need for a wax ring on the floor as you would find in a typical house toilet because the downspout is threaded securely into the tank. But on the other hand, the wax might help provide a good seal between the tank and floor against creepy crawlies entering the camper.
