On Sunday, October 6, we saw a Trailmanor heading south toward Knoxville on I-81 right before it joins I-40. We were heading north on I-81 pulling our own Trailmanor. The north and south lanes were too far apart for us to determine the model, but it had the blue color scheme.

On Monday October 14 we saw an older dual axle heading West on the New York Thruway at mile 175.

Funny how things come in bunches. Each year, we travel back and forth from Maine to Arizona (2500 miles each way), and it is quite common for us to do the entire trip without seeing a TM.

We just finished this year's trip to Arizona. On Sunday the 13th, we saw four northbound TM's in the stretch of I-25 between Pueblo, CO and Las Vegas, NM. Then Sunday night, we were parked one site away from a nice looking 2720SL in the American RV Park just west of Albuquerque. Didn't meet the owners, as they were pretty well buttoned up when we arrived.

Are there more TMs out there? Or is it just the luck of the draw?

Bill

This was a really low sighting year for us, especially since we've been to Yosemite twice, Paulina Lake, OR, once, and Pismo once.

We like to take walks around Seacliff and New Brighton State Beaches, but haven't seen any there at all which is really weird.

We've found them in really unexpected places, like at Manresa State Beach, which has a tent only campground and a beach access parking lot.

It think it is just random, you have to be traveling when they are and where they are.

We just returned from a 9500 mile round trip from West Central Florida to Washington State! We had a sighting in Alabama, they were on an overpass as we went under! We waved and they waved back! On the other hand we will be overwhelmed with TM's tomorrow as we arrive in Tybee Island, Georgia for the rally! They say 30+ units will be there! I'll post a few pictures when we return! I'm expecting it to be an awesome weekend! I guess 30+ in one area will compensate for 1 in 10,000 miles! LOL!

Default 1st Elkmont

Camped this past weekend at Hungry Mother State Park in southwest VA. It took me a while to realize what was beside us. It's the first Elkmont I've see in the wild. 26' in great shape. They aren't forum members. They haven't had any problems that needed a web search. Hope I convinced them to check us out.

Also had a former TM owner stop by. He had an eighties model until he 'wore it out'. He loved it, but wife wanted something bigger. Now lugging a fifth wheel with a diesel dually. No thanks.

Thumbs up TM Trailblazers Rally

We spent this past weekend with the Trailblazer's! It was a wonderful relaxing time with a bunch of great people! Good food, conversation and lot of TM's! I am adding a few pictures of the campground and how we were set up! We were not all in a group but had the chance to wander and visit with everyone! We plan to be at all the Dixie and possibly some of the Appellation rally's from now on!

Looks like a great time had by all. Thanks for sharing. If you don't pay attention, a camper just may forget which TM is theirs and walk in to the wrong spouse.... Hahaha.
