That’s what they say… But when I replaced mine, using a torque wrench, it never hit 50in/lbs. The gasket was completely compressed before the wrench clicked.

I guess it depends on the density of the foam gasket. On mine I had no trouble maintaining the torque setting.

Same here, just kept spinning with no click or give so I stopped after a couple of turns. It was dark and I didn’t climb up to do a before/after of the gasket, but hopefully this improves the situation and I didn’t over torque.

Next I’ll strip old caulk, clean, and recaulk AC riser.
