Our TM is our first camper. We tent camped before--once or twice a year.

I'm 46 and my husband is 48. Two kids in college. Two kids at home. TM only works for us now that the older twins aren't camping with us.

The TM was our first camper as well. I was introduced to it while visiting a dealer with someone interested in buying an Aliner.

47 y/o here. Wife and 3 very young kids (oldest is 9).
Had my TM for just over 2 years now. I have used it somewhere around 9 times including a trip from NE Texas down to Walt Disney World (Ft. Wilderness) and even farther south of Orlando on the Gulf side. The camper is the perfect size for my family at present. I seem to get a lot of "check that out" looks from people when they first see me pull into a site that turns into immediate amazement after I "deploy" the camper.

BTW, this TM is our first travel trailer/RV.

73 in June. Married 52 years. Our first rv was an Apache (1973 Ranger). We had to sell it because we pulled it with a 79 Chev. station wagon (remember those?). It was a company car and was being traded for a K-Car $%@#$%@.

Our next was a smaller Apache which we bought after storm damage. We refurbed for a trip to Oregon for a family reunion, then sold it.

In 1987 we acquired an old Ford rv. in a trade for a postage machine. I'd turned it down for the sale price due to its condition. (Before and after - interior and exterior pics below)

We rebuilt it from the ground up and covered some fun miles with it before loosing it in a storage building fire in 1995. We went without an rv until we bought another Apache (1981 Royal) in 2012. After making several trips to Virginia, New York, and Nevada, we ran across our 2009 2720SL.

I was surprised to discover so few in our age group 71-75. We are fortunate to have our health and ability to enjoy our TM for a few more years. It will likely be our last.

In the three years we've had it we've made several trips, short and long and are planning for another this summer. We're going back to Virginia and the music festivals along 'The Crooked Road'. Google it.

Virginia is a great place to camp and visit. If you like fiddle and banjo music do not miss Floyd and Galax, Va. The Visitor Center and music museum on the Parkway near Galax is worth a visit .Free musical performance in both towns on the street nearly every weekend in summer.

Yes, we've been there! Read

There's so much more than just performances. We carried our instruments with us and picked jams for every day of the week. We played in jams in a Dairy Queen, a hardware store, at Capos Music Store, at the theater in Fries, the Alan Hicks jam in Nickelsville, and in so many other places.

We met the nicest folk and played so much music. We spent 6 weeks on the road and had more fun than folks should be allowed to have.

We're going back in April. Where in Maryland are you located. We have a daughter in Odenton that we'll be visiting. (in our TM)
