Default Home made water heater cleaning tool

I have had good luck with this inexpensive home made water heater cleaning tool. It gets the junk out of the bottom of the tank and keeps it from getting into the system or down the side of the TM. It consists of a standard PEX home toilet supply waterline with an adapter to adapt to a garden hose. I epoxy'd the open end end closed ( cut threads in it with sheet metal screw to allow epoxy to grip) and cut slits with hacksaw for spray nozzle. The sleeve is just 3/4 PVC with a threaded adapter. The PVC sleeve screws into the anode hole and allows the dirty water to run out and not down the side of the TM. The spray wand can be rotated around and moved in and out to get to all the sides. This is about the same price as commercial sprayers, but allows the loosened dirt to flow out with out getting all over the TM.
