TV Questions Toyota Tacoma V6

I know this should probably be posted in the Tow Vehicle section, but since we are getting close to buying a TM I thought it might be better here.

We are on the cusp of replacing our 4 cyl Tacoma with a V6 version. What we have found out is that Toyota makes two towing versions with the V6. One is rated for 5,000 lbs and the other 6,500 lbs. The difference is that the 6,500 lb version cost $4,000 more and has a transmission cooler.

Does anyone know of any other differences?

Considering how light TMs are, wouldn't the 5,000 lb version do just fine? Saving $4,000 would bring the price down to under $20K.
