We had a great time last week in Lajitas. The RV camping sites are part of the Lajitas Resort. They sit across the street or highway from each other. The Resort is the primary business in Lajitas. Hotel, Golf Course, Agava Spa, Gifts stores, Bakery, Saloon, Gas Station and General Store, Equestrian Center, Airport. We spent 6 days with activities ranging from Golf, Hiking in the National Park, Canoeing the Rio Grande, Spa, motorcycling. Here are a few pics. Spaces are full hook up sites, wide, remote and nearly treeless. Wifi is available in 1/2 of the campsites. Large Clubhouse with laundry facilities, game area, mens/womens showers. Unless you bring a satellite dish, there is no TV available. No radio reception either. Most campers are there for the remoteness, hiking, river access, and to get away from it all. You can disconnect from the electronic grid as much as you like. Views are vast, and the dark sky is exceptional. Watch your fuel mileage. Some stations are 100 miles apart. The communities of Terlingua, Study Butte and Big Bend Villages of Rio Grande Village and Panther Village are within the park. One of the more remote areas of the country and should be seen and added to your bucket list. its a once in a lifetime experience that we have enjoyed twice in less than 3 years. We may make the destination again one day.
