Default Are these batteries OK?

Are these batteries OK?

I know that a battery will show a lower voltage when a load is applied, but I wonder how far down it should drop. These are the numbers I am seeing on my Trimetric battery meter:

Load: 1.8 a
Charge Percentage: 92
Voltage: 12.1v
Outside Temp: 45 degrees

Load; 6.9a
Voltage under load: 11.8 v
Charge percentage: 88%
Outside temp: 65 degrees

Does this look about right or is the voltage dropping more than one would expect? I just don't have enough experience to say whether this is good or bad.

These are two Costco golf cart batteries. The batteries seem to charge OK. If I charge them and then disconnect for a couple of days they will show 12.7 or 12.8.

I can take them back if they're not performing right, but I'm not sure if this is correct behavior or not.

Thanks.

You can take them in to an auto parts store or maybe costco? and have them checked with a battery conductance tester.

I have never noted down the voltage drop at various loads on my system, but off the top of my head your numbers do not seem that bad. 6.9a is a pretty high load and I would expect some drop.

Thanks. I think I'll pick up load tester at Harbor Frieght and check them.

The voltage numbers look quite low, especially for the 1.8 amp load. I'd expect that at 92% SOC, you'd see closer to 12.5 volts at such a low load.

I'd recommend that you consider getting a good battery hydrometer as this would tell you how well charged your battery cells are getting.

Thanks.

I keep my trailer at a storage lot with no power. It's tough to keep the batteries fully charged. They spend a lot of time at 90% or so.

I bought an 80 watt solar panel to keep them charged. It works really well.

Since I have been keeping them topped off all the time they seem to be behaving much better.

I bought a load tester, they are in the green range (just barely) when I test them. I have a hydrometer (doesn't look as good as the one you linked to). I'll try that out.
