Comparing Adco covers
Happy 2012 everyone!
I've decided to try using a cover on our TM this year, and have been doing a fair amount of searching & reading on here to see what's what. Looks like Adco is the most likely choice, for better or worse. I'm not quite ready to spring for Sunbrella...
What I'm not exactly clear on is whether Adco's newer Tyvek cover is any better than their Aquashed one. Looks like I can get an Aquashed for about $107 or a Tyvek for about $150 (both with shipping included). Anybody have any real world experience with both? Here in PA we get a decent amount of rain, some summer humidity, winter snow, and our location sees its share of wind. I'm planning on padding the antenna & any other sharp points as well as securing the cover snugly.
Any thoughts regarding Tyvek vs. Aquashed would be welcome (or any other cover thoughts in general...)
Thanks!

I bought the Tyvek cover when we owned our 2011 Elkmont. When we bought our new 32 foot Coleman by Dutchmen, I once again bought the Tyvek type. I was very happy with the first Adco Tyvek cover.
The Tyvek is better for Sunny/Snowy/rainy type climates. The aquashed is better for moderate climates. I would spend the extra money, and be sure the cover would hold up better.
Make sure you cover up all sharp edges.
Hope this info helps you out. By the way, we too live in northeast Pa. where we get lots of snow & ice during the winter months.

We live where there is hot sun in the summer and snow and ice in the winter. The first cover we had was the standard one and it worked well but after a while the weather took its toll on the top portion and it became weak and started developing tears. I replaced it with a tyvek cover and have been much happier. During our hurricane this summer a neighbors tree came down and branches grazed the side of the TM ( knocked off a market light) The cover did great. I recommend spending the extra money.

I have used both covers. The top of the Aquashed quickly loses its water and light repellency (within a year or so), and shortly thereafter, the top begins to disintegrate (but not tear), leaving a cover-colored powder on the TM roof. It rinses right off, but to clean the roof before putting the cover on and then finding the powder on the roof after uncovering it is annoying.
I've only used the Tyvek cover for a few months, but so far so good. I know it blocks all water on the roof, which I hope is good, as I've seen some puddles sitting up there. Despite the stated measurements, I think it is slightly narrower than the Aquashed as it's a tighter fit side to side, but it still fits.

This place has the Tyvek cover for $117.

Add a few packs of Thetford toilet paper (or chemicals) to get the order over $125 to get free shipping.

That's what I did.

3023 cover size
We are awaiting delivery of our 3023, but would like to get it under cover right away. These Colorado winters are harsh. I have searched and searched, but cannot seem to find the cover size for a 3023 anywhere in the forum. We have a lot of high winds here, so I want to prevent too much extra fabric. The best I could come up with is the ADCO HiLo 22.5-24', which fits the 3124. Again I am concerned about those extra few feet of fabric. The closed length on the trailmanor 3023 is 22'9", but I think that is the entire trailer length to include hitch. I would just measure the box, but again I don't have the trailer. Any help would be appreciated.
