Cleaning Privacy Curtains

Just bought a used 2005 TM. The bed privacy curtains are pretty dirty. Can they be washed in a washing machine or do they need to be dry cleaned to reduce shrinkage?

Cannot speak specifically to the privacy curtain. However, we washed all the window curtains in our TM and after a partial cool drying cycle took them from dryer and let air dry. Zero shrinkage!

We wash ours every year in warm water, then hang dry.

One thing we did this year was dye the curtains. If you have any fading, you might as well dye them when you have them down. There are posts on the how-to and they come out great!

We just washed and dyed our curtains and even the fabric wrapped around the cornice boards. I couldn't stand the "country blue" color, so had the wife use black dye at the local washateria (per Rit dye instructions). Turned out to be a nice, dark, grey-blue color that looks much more modern. Very pleased with the results.
