TM says the electric tongue jack dia is 1.75 in
Yet I see several models at 2 and 2.25 inches. I want to replace the crank jack with an electric. Tm 2007 2720. Looking for answers
thanks
Don

Just picked up an electric jack to try out a simple idea I had for assisting with opening the modules. Basically it is like changing a tire on a Ciroen.
Did notice that the hole in my 2620SL seems kind of small but was just really checking to make sure it is three bolts.

When I installed my new 12 volt tongue jack, I did have to enlarge the hole to 2 inch. It was easy to do with a 2 inch hole saw. I simply drilled the 2 inch hole thru a piece of plywood, then clamped the plywood over the smaller tongue hole and drilled it out.

The upper hole on mine is 2.3" and the lower is 2.0". The electric jack I just brought home is 2.2" so a bit of opening up is needed. (2 1/4" or 56 mm). HF has a set of metal hole saws that should work.

Since my hole is 2" now and need 2.2" I plan to put a 2" hole saw inside a 2.25" hole saw so it sticks down enough to guide.

It's confusing, but the outer tube OD is how you measure the jack. It is 2" on my trailmanor. The inter tube OD is 1 3/4"
I replaced my jack with a 2"

At least the jack mounts. The outer tube must go through both holes on mine. Like the lower hole, it braces the whole jack.
BTW I got a response from HF about the load: "The 3500 lbs rating on this item is the tongue weight capacity, The tongue capacity is 10% of the items overall trailer capacity of 35,000 lbs."
and if you believe that one I have this bridge...
