Removing front and back curtains

I have a stain on one of the front curtains so it will have to be replaced. Has anyone removed the curtain on the front or back? There's a valence over the top- the bottoms hang free.

As I recall, the valence comes off pretty easily by unscrewing a few screws from underneath the top flange. Then they are like any other window.

Thanks all. I'll take a look. My valences don't look quite like this one and don't recall seeing a screw on the outside but it might have a button over it.
