Bet I Won't Forget The Black Valve Again
Inside toilet valve was closed properly (until I opened it before leaving the park). But the outside black valve had been left in the open position since the last time we were cleaning inside, months ago.
So I got my first, and hopefully last, "bath" at the dump station when I cracked open the drain cap. I reckon seeing some drips coming out of the cap should have been my warning.
Luckily only a short bath of the liquid variety and I only had on shorts and old flip-flops. There were a few seconds of frozen in the headlights until I could remember how and where to close the valve.

LOL, I did that once. I too got just a little spray. Now I always double check any camper with drains to make sure they are closed when finished dumping and before emptying.

I had a similar shower last year. I didn't have the sewer hose attached securely, and when I pulled the outside black valve the force caused the hose to pop off, and the shower began. Not fun, quickly got properly attached, then had to hose down the area and myself after all was done.
Not a fun way to start the three and a half hour trip home.

Oldstick -
There are some mistakes that all of us seem to make as we use our TMs. Such things as forgetting to put the steps up or the TV antenna down. Folding the TM down and getting the corner latches caught in the lift arms. Forgetting to raise the jacks. These are easy to make, and easy to recover from.
But some of these are mistakes that we make only once. This is one of those, and I have done it, too. As you said, you probably won't do it again. I won't.

Yep, you are correct, Bill. we already experienced the steps and the corner latches too. The jacks I did years ago on our previous pop-up, actually I think it was the tongue jack and broke that.
