Kathy -

I hate to say it, but you will probably be unable to find any RV mechanic, competent or otherwise, who can handle adjustments to the Trail Manor lift system. The TM lift system is unique. Most RV mechanics have never seen one, let alone worked on one. The exception will be a mechanic who works, or used to work, at a TM dealership.

With no prior knowledge, I would guess that somewhere around Indianapolis, there used to be at least one TM dealership. If you can figure out who it was, you could call them, ask if they have anyone who worked on TMs in the past, or if they know where any of their past mechanics went. To find that ex-dealership, you might email Cleo in Sales at the present TM factory. She and her husband Bob (also at TM) have been with the company for a long time, and might have an old list of dealerships.

While a trip from Indy to the factory in South Dakota is not exactly a short jaunt (750-odd miles) from Indy, you may decide that it is worth the effort. Perhaps the factory has some slack time now in the winter, and could accommodate you for what is sometimes called a lift-system tuneup.
