We never had a problem in CA. on side of the highway. Truck stops work for me as well. Never had a problem, there are generally more rv's that come in thru the night

We did have a problem at a walmart in Santa Maria CA. was woken around 2 am to a flashlight beating on the door. That walmart was not owned by them but rented out with others stores in the strip mall area. So that is something to think about for walmart lots, they must own the land
