In support of some "moteling" along the road, after we'd been at a campground without showers/hookups for about a week last summer, it was nice to be able to go somewhere (we drove to Salem, OR from northern CA) and kind of "become human" again.

We didn't drag the TM along though, we took the 2nd car and left DH with the TM and the cat at the campground so we could visit our aunt. We checked into a nice motel room. No dirt on the feet, unlimited running water, A/C, electricity, a TV, an indoor pool, a telephone hookup for my laptop...sheer luxury! It surely was appreciated in the 100 degree weather!

But it was nice to get back to the TM again, all cleaned up and ready to enjoy the woods again for a few more days until we had to go back home. It's a lot of work toting fresh water and dumping the grey water for 4 people....even if you do take navy showers.
