We leave everything in unless it will spoil.
The typical winter overnight low in my garage is 45F.
Fall is when I do my big cleaning. Anywhere I can get at least one finger and a rag gets wiped down. That includes removing all drawers etc.
I prefer fall cleaning instead of spring cleaning because I will e able to take that first trip with only a moments notice in the spring.
