I think the AC was added after it left the factory?? Are the wires for the AC all concealed in the roof and side walls? If so It might be factory installed.

My understanding; prior to 2003 or 2002 the AC units were installed in the side somewhere to the rear of the oven inside the base cabinets.

1500, if its in good shape you can not go wrong. Use it for a year and if you don't like it sell it for 1500.
