I wouldn't camp without ac because I am spoiled and too old . You will have a hard time making reservations over a holiday weekend. We are camping this June at Fort De Soto in Florida. Have you ever looked at Pirateland, Lakewood or Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach. They all have a huge pool with a lazy river. You can rent golf carts to get around in. Kids love it here. As far as mosquitoes, we are buying a screen tent for Florida. Also we use off lanterns and off spray.
