You can get a replacement at practically any hardware store. It is a beast to get to the connections up under the sink, I have short and fat arms so I found it easiest to remove the hot water tank and work from the outside. If my arms had been another 2 inches longer or maybe if I had lost 20 pounds I could have gotten it from the inside. The heater is not that hard to remove. Just disconnect the gas line (close the valves on the LP) drain the tank (6 gal of water is heavy). Remove the water lines top and bottom and remove the wire connections and slide out.
