Made into Big Bend on Monday this week, weather has been overcast and light rain with temps around the mid to upper 40's. Weather is supposed to start clearing with highs around 80 by this weekend. We decided on camping at Cottonwood CG on the parks west side as no generators allowed. Sites to park your camper and TV are small with large grassy areas between sites.
Two Great Horned owls spend the day near the TM. Vermilion Fly Catchers and wood peckers along with Road Runners all over the CG. Haven't spotted the Javlina's (SP) yet, there is supposed to be a group of 7 the feed on the grass in the CG. Already been on some of the back roads getting a memory refresher. Plans are to hit some of the hiking trails. We haven't made up minds yet to cross the boarder yet but we understand Victor is still there although he doesn't row the boat any more. Also red tape to cross that we didn't have in the late 70's. The burros are still there for the ride into town and they have two restaurants instead of the one when we were there last. I'll have to get with Commodor47 or Bill and set up an account somewhere to post all the pics to.
