Overnight stopovers
Next year we're planning a trip to Disneyland. The trip would probably take us at least 3 driving days. I don't have to time to have a leisurely trip down where I can drive for a couple of hours at a time, then camp for a few days.
In WA, OR, and CA, you are permitted to rest for up to 8 hours at rest stops. I plan to make use of this if there are no vacancies at camp sites with hookups. What are other's experiences with overnight stopovers? Can one usually find a campsite in these areas at the last minute? We would be travelling in August.
