Sounds like you were fortunate, there are some real horror stories posted about tire damage.

Your are right, the Sedona and Flagstaff area is nice pretty much year round.

The Commodore's will be a crap shoot, being Chinese made, but you have a 50/50 chance of them being decent. Did you beef up your load rating?
