I have never had the border people on either side give me any issues. But as Bill said know what not to bring into Canada and what you can bring back into the USA. Guns are not good to have crossing into canada. I would not bring any fresh fruits or vegetables to the border either way. Make sure you have you pet's records and they had the required shots

But for any reason, including being selected for a random search they can ask you to open the camper going either way.
