The Forum offers a free 30-day free trial period, during which you are called a Trial Member. As a Trial Member, you get complete access to the forum to see if you like it. If you like it, you can become a Site Sponsor, which continues your full access. Sponsorship costs $12 per year. Since no advertising is allowed on the site, the Sponsor fees pay the site's expenses such as the board's software, software maintenance and upgrades, Internet hosting, and so forth. At the end of 30 days, if you don't become a Sponsor, your membership is automatically dropped back to Registered Guest, and you lose most, but not quite all, of your Forum access.
