Default Ft Spokane Washington

Since my little corner of the world seems to be a bit underrepresented on here I thought I would throw in a review or two as we discover more about the area.

What:
Ft Spokane is a National Park campground that is about 75 minutes outside of Spokane WA located on the banks of Lake Roosevelt.

Sites:
You can reserve the sites through Recreation.gov ($18 a night), they are primitive sites. The sites are spacious though and you don't feel like you are right on top of your neighbor.

Facilities:
There are plenty of spigots for water and there are restrooms with plumbing without the campground, no showers though. Access to the lake is plentiful, there are swimming areas, and launches for boats.

Local Area:
There isn't much around the area, there is a small Native American Casino (slots only) about a mile up the road from the campground. They have their own RV park and a small store that sells necessities and some basic RV parts. Ft Spokane is a historical old fort created to keep the peace between the native populations and the new settlers. They have a nice little museum and some cool interpretive programs on the weekend.

Cell Service:
I had roaming coverage with both AT&T and Sprint.

Overall: We had to be judicious with our water and waste, but it was made easier with the bathhouses. We had a great time on the lake, I plan to come back here again.
