I know others have replaced the seal and it should be done. Any other repair is probably a hack and will leak and mold the foam inside the seal. The only repair that might work is a vinyl repair.

The others who have done the seal replacement may be able to chime in and help. I is also common for the wood behind the seal to rot. This is also time consuming, but necessary repair.

Once done, though, as long as quality materials are used and maintained, it should last 5-10 years or more depending on maintenance. I'm sorry, no good quick fix as far as I know.
