We have a spectacular National Lakeshore here in northern Michigan.....in fact we have 2. We are blessed to live 'in' Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, a park with 70 miles of beautiful Lake Michigan beaches, sand dunes and forests. The area (our county) has several scenic villages.....no street lights or franchises in the County! It was voted America's Most Beautiful Place a few years ago.....we went to Cape Cod National Seashore in July, and Leelanau County/Sleeping Bear beats it - very crowed and commercial on the Cape, and no sharks in Lake Michigan!

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is in the Upper Peninsula.....also spectacular.

Our spring trip this year will include 10 days in Zion (and we'll go to Bryce and Canyonlands)....we LOVE Zion. Then we'll go to Pismo Beach to warm up from our Michigan winter, then to Big Sur, on to Yosemite and Kings Canyon. Need to see Sequoia - any suggestions on that? My sis lives in Salt Lake, so we'll head there......anyone have suggestions of things we should do/see?
