For those who have a military ID card the Military Campground system is wonderful. There is even a web site at militarycampgrounds.us - great articles and super information on campgrounds on US Military Posts/Bases throughout the US. The rates are great, the campgrounds are secure, and close to all military resources. We are just back from a trip to Maine - stayed at Offutt Base Lake, (Air Force) outside Omaha, NB - nice location with lake, full hook ups. These campgrounds are only available to US Military ID card holders (Active, Retired, etc.) They are usually much cheaper than other campgrounds, and many are brand new!
