Memphis is a must. Go to Graceland and visit Elvis. Eat the best fried chicken in the world at Gus's and then maybe take a 20 min ride over to Tunica, Ms and hit the casinos. North Ga is beatiful year round. Unicoi state park is great and there are other state parks nearby also. Helen, Ga is a bit touristy but nice. Habersham winery is there also. Head over to Grubbers and grub for gems or pan for gold. It is a lot of fun. In summer you can also take river raft rides on the rapids or lazy float rides on the river through town. If you have time Savannah is always worth the trip. Tybee beach is a 15 min ride from downtown. Take the teens on one of the many ghost tours in historic Savannah or riverboat ride.
