This is very helpful indeed...unless it's late and I'm dead tired, is the ONLY way I'll stay at any campground next to an interstate or railroad track (or even worse...both!
). Been there done that too many times. I guess the most horrific place that I have ever tried to sleep at was Black Barts in Flagstaff AZ.. It's next to I-40, across the freeway from the Santa Fe RR tracks and right next door to a diesel truck farm where the semi's run their engines 24/7. A constant 50 Hz rumble ALL stinking night! So if you ever go to Flagstaff...stay at the park that has the supposedly child molester...at least it will be quieter there and there probably won't be a bunch of screaming kids running around like wild Indians! But mainly it's well off the freeway and not near the RR tracks either. Just don't let your kids run free there!
