They are adjustable. Where the torsion rods connect to the shells, there are bolts that you loosen. You would need a level and some type of jacks to support the shells while you loosen the bolts. I have never done it but read it on this forum. Do a search for more information. Also the tension of the tension rods is adjustable also for ease of lifting the shells.
