Thumbs up Norris Dam State Park, TN, about 2 miles from The Factory

Hi, After our West Virginia adventure, things went much better.Stayed in N.C. daughter's front yard and then home via Norris Dam CG.We needed some parts and info from the factory. The CG is great - nice sites, clean, modern showers and very close to the factory. Adam and Ed Lytle went the extra mile to help us out and finding the appropriate parts to purchase. Saw some TMs under construction and noted the changes from our 'o4 3023.Adam's and Ed's response was that most of the changes they make are at the owner's suggestion. We left them with a list of our own. After that, the trip went down hill. It began raining, and sat on the highway for a total of 2 hours with 2 different wrecks.Had our CB on listening to the drivers trash talk and road info. Both accidents were caused by traveling too fast in bad weather. The truckers were calling the rainy, wet roads "Black Ice".We saw 4 other accidents that were already off of the road, way off in the trees - probaly hydro-planed.We travled 501 miles and with many rests, got home to Florissant, MO. at 2:30 in the a.m. Had we not had a very special 10 a.m. test appt., we would have stopped some place, any place. The trip was good, home is great and the folks at the TM factory can't be beat for good info, courtesy and customer service. We went 55mph most of the trip.Got 18mpg on the first leg of the trip. We'll put her to sleep for the winter.
