Pick out your favorite digital thermostat, any hardware store has them. Disconnect the two wires from the old one than remove it. Mount the new one and install the two wires. Put in the batteries and set the set points. They work great. Next to the refer isn't the best place because the heat there tends to lie to the thermostat but I have been to lazy to move it to the bathroom wall as another member did.

This is one of the simplest and best mods to do. This is another area where the RV industry lets us down by letting parts cost over ride quality.
