If you go out to eat in the Ossipee area, there's a place that has BBQ not too bad for the north, called the Yankee Smokehouse, in West Ossipee. It isn't the best BBQ you'll ever have, but it is pretty good and one of the better restaurants in the area.
Before we moved to Southern CA, we used to have a trailer on a seasonal site in Wakefield, one town south of Ossipee. We used to go to the Yankee Smokehouse about once a month - never had a bad meal. This was 11 years ago, but it still gets pretty fair reviews on Yelp:
