I don't have the answer to that. It probably will but you may want to try one.

I had a 10,000BTU (side) A/C in my '98 TM. I ran the A/C off of my Honda EU2000i genset in 115* temps (for several hours) without a problem. The genset hardly even broke a sweat. You could hear it ramp up just a bit (for 2 seconds) when the A/C cycled. Other than that, the genset was pretty quiet.

I would think that a 1,000W genset would run at nearly full throttle and be very noisy. The real issue is whether or not the genset would not be able to handle the start-up of the compressor when cycling on a hot day.

If you do go with a 1,000W genset, it may be important to plug the A/C unit directly into the genset to avoid any other loads, like the converter trying to charge the battery or run your 12V items. To accomplish this, you will need to take off the outside ventilation panel (4 screws). Inside, you will find a normal 110V outlet and the A/C will be plugged into that outlet. Just unplug it and plug it into a 25' 12G extension cord that is plugged into your genset.
