Adding a second battery to a TM is a good idea if you are going to do any boon docking for more than a day or two. Many of us use two with our solar panels.

There are lots of threads on here about how to do this. Mounting batteries in your TM is a little special because of where they are mounted and the need to vent the batteries to the outside. Two batteries are also going to need more support than the thin aluminum shell of the TM.

The consensus is that two 6 volt golf cart batteries in series is better than two 12 volt deep discharge batteries in parallel.
