The flexible drain hose has an adaptor to make it either 1 1/4 or 1 1/2.
The mismatch for the drains would occur in how far below the sink they extend. If that is different I would have to cut the black pipe and redo the whole p trap system. The reason for this is because one of the typically adjustable joints is glued permanently.
