My pin and clip is not very tight and I'm not having the issue you mentioned. Just wondering if the front shell is not coming to far forward when you rise it into position and the the shell is not in line with the bottom? Over time the two sections work them self lose??

When you pull up the front shell all the way forward does the hole in swing up square tube line with the steel pin and you do not have to push the shell fwd/aft to to fit into the hole. It's normal to push in the side, but you should not need to move the shell fwd or aft.
