So now I am sure that the PO did have an issue with the rear shell being a bit off. He must have tried different fixes, here is one that seems to work, he attached two metal holders, one is on the front shell attached to the electric conduit and one is attached to the rear shell in the back close to the other holder, I found a metal rod that is bent and connects the two holders together and this brings the front shell closer to the rear shell and eliminates the gap.
