Hi all..anyone done any camping in the Poconos that they love? I'm considering Otter Lake for for October. It's filling up fast...must be good!
Thanks

We drove through the Otter Lake campground in late May (after being unable to get in on short notice) and its super nice. I checked the restroom facilities out as well. Grounds are nice and neat, individuals sites well maintained, rec hall, fishing, etc.

If we ever return to the Poconos, Otter Lake is THE spot we'd go to.

I suspected as much. I called and they had one spot left, but we couldn't get our dates straight, and lost the spot *sigh*...
I'll have to set my sights on 08!
Thanks for the post.

Randy

We have stayed at Otter Lake many times, and indeed it has gotten very popular over the years. Therefore it does book early & fast. Another place we've gone to is KOA also at the gap (http://koa.com/where/pa/38101/), if I am not mistaken, they are open all year. Didn't miss Marshals Greek flea market on Sat & Sun, go early.
