Anyone have recommendations for this general area? It seems campgrounds are a bit sparse. There is one at Luna Lake just over the Arizona line that sounds intriguing.

Thanks,

Bill, Luna Lake is great. Tall pines and mostly level campsites. Stayed there in both tents and with our 3124KS. Glenwood itself has a small site just north of town. Really close to the highway. Have not stayed there. There is a trailer park on the way to the catwalk. Have not stayed there, but know that it is often used by Church and other groups. Lake Roberts, NE of Silver City is one of our most highly rated campsites in SW NM. Don't go there directly north of Silver, go east and up across the Continental Divide. Sounds like a hard pull, but it isn't. Two campsites, one at the lake level and one above it. More spaces at the high one and easier to use.

Good Luck,

Thanks Jim & Deanna. Just got back from the NM trip. We ended up replanning our trip - since the road to Mogollon apparently fell off the mountain  making the high country unreachable from that side, we only spent one night in Glenwood, and used the small campground you mention. I'm planning to post a trip report when we get unpacked.
