View Full Version : Liftting the TM

I have seen mention of lifting the trailer for clearance.  Sounds like a good idea.  We have considered quite a bit.  We know the hitch is adjustable.  At some of the campgrounds where we stay, the levelers are virtually vertical (yes, we use blocks, too).  The levelers are 20 inches.  Liftco makes 24 inch levelers.  Has anyone used these?
Also, there is the step issue.  It is already a jump (at some of our sites) to the ground.  Though a box would work, has anyone installed a third step?
These are some things you want to think about before lifting.

Re the step issue.  We bought a folding step from Camping world for about $40 that folds flat and can store out of the way when not needed.  We have found it helpfull to use as a stepping stool for reaching high places on the TM or as a low seat when working low.  So far we have never had to use it as a step!  You could also use the Rubbermade step that was supplied for getting into the end bunk as an extra stair if needed.
