Tom Stinestra's book (West Coast RV Camping) gave a scenery rating of 8/10, and listed "30 amp hookups".
The Reservoir is not large, and the hillsides are all dirt and trees, no rock. The RV Park is quite large, and built on the hillside. Dirt, Dirt, Dirt. Not a speck of grass, hardly any rocks. And so, with every step, you're choking on clouds of... Dirt.
Due to the large size, lots of people move around in ATVs. (Stinky, Noisy.)
But worst of all, the "30 amp hookups" have a rule: No electric heaters or A/C! They say that the resort hookups (all the sites we saw were only 15A hookups) are run off a generator system which can't handle the load. That seems a little weird, because the reservoir is a PG&E power station.
They do have nice trees. Everything seems a little bit run down, however, maybe the "for sale" sign has something to do with it.
Summary: Bring and wear N-95 dust masks for breathing. "30 Amps" is nowhere to be seen, and they'll throw you out if you run the A/C or electric heat. If you have any brains at all, you'll skip this "electric service" and head up to Silver Lake, about 10 miles up the road.
