This is one of those little known treasures that is located southeast of Columbus. It's Ohio's piece of the Appalachians.
What an awesome place to go hiking. The rock formations are breathtaking. My wife and I are big into photography and we took some really great shots there. We only had time to hike a couple of the areas. We're planning on going back next year without the kids to hike everything else.
We stayed at the state park. The road up to the campground is steep and winding, so be careful (10 MPH). Nice sized campsites. Paved pads. Some of them even had doublewide pads. The bathrooms needed to be cleaned more often and the showers were not too private. Open changing area, private shower. Good sized pool. Playgrounds out of date (at least the one by us).
Overall...not bad. We will camp here again.
