On our first real trip in our used 2002 2720SD, we drove up from Northern California into Oregon. One of our stops was 3 nights at the Crater Lake RV park in Prospect, Oregon, and I would recommend this campground to others.

The sites are in a wooded area, so you don't feel on top of each other, and easy to pull into. Their bathrooms were roomy and clean, and they also have a wi-fi booster at the office. They apparently do campfires and singalongs in the summer, but we got there after they'd stopped those for the season. We had to go into "town" to do our laundry, which was a bit of a hassle, but doable.

Our favorite part of this campground was that it was right on the river, although it took us a few days to realize how very close it was! We were using the campground as a base for Crater Lake explorations (about 1/2 hour away) but got snowed out on our second day to CL. We came back to the campground and it wasn't raining heavily there so we decided to do some exploring on a trail the host had pointed out.

To our delight, there was a lovely reservoir nearby (saw lots of fish) and the river too. Beautiful gorges and rushing water. Definitely a fisherperson's delight, and dog-friendly trails too! Wouldn't trust a dog to swim safely in the river, but they'd love to sniff along the trail.
